Welcome to 3 Blades Maker Lab LLC ("3 Blades Maker Lab," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website at 3bladesmakerlab.com (the "Site"), placing an order, using any of our product customization tools, or engaging with our services in any way, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use this Site or place any orders.

1. General

3 Blades Maker Lab is a custom goods studio based in Lavon, Texas, specializing in laser engraving, 3D printing, and personalized products. All products are made to order unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Products & Services

We offer the following products and services, each subject to the terms outlined below:

Laser Engraved Slate Coasters (pre-made and custom designs, square and round, black and green)
Custom Engraved Cutting Boards (cherry, maple, walnut hardwoods)
Laser Engraved Tumblers (20oz double-wall insulated stainless steel)
3D Photo Crystal Engravings (K9 optical crystal blocks with AI-generated 3D models)
3D Printed Products and Accessories (coaster holders, custom items)
Custom Laser Engraving Services (wood, slate, glass, crystal, leather, acrylic, tumblers)
Custom 3D Printing and Prototyping Services

Product availability, pricing, and specifications are subject to change without notice. "Backordered" items may be purchased and will ship when stock arrives.

3. Custom Orders & Personalization

3.1 Design Approval. All custom orders require a professional digital proof before production begins. By approving a proof, you confirm that the design, text, spelling, layout, and orientation are correct. 3 Blades Maker Lab is not responsible for errors in approved proofs.

3.2 Design Tools. Our Site includes interactive design tools (the "Customizers") for coasters, cutting boards, tumblers, and 3D photo crystals. Designs created using these tools serve as a starting point. Final production files may be adjusted for engraving quality and material compatibility. The preview shown on screen is an approximation and may differ slightly from the finished product due to material characteristics and engraving variables.

3.3 Customer-Supplied Content. When you upload images, logos, text, or other content ("Customer Content"), you represent and warrant that:

You own the content or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use it;
The content does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights;
You have obtained consent from any identifiable individuals depicted in the content; and
The content complies with all applicable laws and these Terms.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 3 Blades Maker Lab from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your Customer Content.

4. Prohibited Content

You may not submit, upload, or request engraving of any content that:

Contains nudity, sexually explicit material, or pornography;
Depicts violence, gore, or graphic injury;
Contains hate speech, symbols of hate, or discriminatory imagery targeting any protected group;
Depicts minors in any inappropriate, suggestive, or exploitative context;
Promotes or depicts illegal activity, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia;
Promotes terrorism, extremism, or the glorification of violence;
Infringes any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property right;
Contains defamatory, threatening, or harassing material; or
Is otherwise objectionable at the sole discretion of 3 Blades Maker Lab.

We reserve the right to refuse, reject, delete, or report any submission that violates these guidelines without notice, and without refund if production has not yet begun. Repeated violations may result in permanent bans from our customization tools and services.

5. 3D Photo Crystal - Special Terms

The following additional terms apply specifically to 3D Photo Crystal products and the AI-powered crystal customizer tool:

5.1 AI-Generated 3D Models. Our crystal customizer uses third-party artificial intelligence technology ("Meshy AI") to convert your 2D photograph into a 3D model. AI-generated models are approximations. Results vary based on image quality, subject complexity, lighting, background, and other factors. We do not guarantee that every photograph will produce a model suitable for crystal engraving.

5.2 Ownership of Rendered Files. All 3D models, renderings, STL files, and derivative files generated through our crystal customizer tool are the exclusive property of 3 Blades Maker Lab LLC. By using the tool, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view the rendered preview solely for the purpose of evaluating and purchasing a crystal product from us. You may not download, redistribute, resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit any rendered 3D model or file without prior written consent from 3 Blades Maker Lab.

5.3 Render Limits. Free preview renders are limited per user. Attempting to circumvent render limits through VPNs, proxies, multiple accounts, or other means is a violation of these Terms and may result in a permanent ban.

5.4 Image Processing & Data Collection. When you use the crystal customizer:

Your uploaded photograph is transmitted to a third-party AI service (Meshy AI) for 3D model generation;
Your photograph, email address (if provided), IP address, and submission timestamp are stored for up to 7 days for order fulfillment, quality assurance, and abuse prevention;
Render notification data (including your photograph and any generated 3D files) may be sent to 3 Blades Maker Lab staff for review and production purposes;
By providing your email address, you consent to receiving transactional communications related to your rendering and order.

5.5 Preview Is Not a Guarantee. Generating a 3D preview does not constitute an order, a guarantee of engraving quality, or a commitment by 3 Blades Maker Lab to fulfill an order. If you are unsatisfied with your preview, do not proceed with your purchase.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Property. All content on this Site - including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, product photographs, design templates, pre-made designs, software, customizer tools, 3D models, and rendered files - is the property of 3 Blades Maker Lab LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or otherwise use any Site content without our express written permission.

6.2 Pre-Made Designs. Pre-made designs available through our store and customizers are created by or licensed to 3 Blades Maker Lab. Purchasing a product featuring a pre-made design grants you the right to use that design on the purchased physical product only. It does not transfer ownership of the design, grant reproduction rights, or permit use of the design in any other context.

6.3 Customer Designs. You retain ownership of original Customer Content you upload. However, by submitting Customer Content through our Site or customization tools, you grant 3 Blades Maker Lab a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display the Customer Content solely for the purposes of fulfilling your order, providing customer support, improving our services, and internal business purposes (such as quality assurance and production review). This license does not grant us the right to sell or publicly distribute your Customer Content for unrelated commercial purposes.

7. Pricing & Payment

7.1 Pricing. All prices are listed in US dollars. Prices are subject to change without notice. Volume pricing discounts are applied automatically based on quantity at checkout.

7.2 Sales Tax. Applicable sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout based on shipping destination, in accordance with applicable state and local tax laws.

7.3 Payment. Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments at the time of order. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods available through Shopify. Full payment is required before production begins.

7.4 Pricing Errors. In the event of a pricing error on our Site, we reserve the right to cancel any orders placed at the incorrect price. You will be notified and offered the option to reorder at the correct price or receive a full refund.

8. Shipping & Delivery

8.1 Production Time. All products are made to order. Standard production time is 3-7 business days from the date of order (or proof approval for custom designs). Production times are estimates, not guarantees, and may vary during high-demand periods.

8.2 Shipping. Orders ship from Lavon, Texas via FedEx or USPS. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on package weight, dimensions, and destination. We currently ship within the United States.

8.3 Local Pickup. Local pickup is available in the DFW Metroplex area. Select "Local Pickup" at checkout for details.

8.4 Shipping Delays. 3 Blades Maker Lab is not responsible for shipping delays caused by carrier issues, weather, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control. Once a package is tendered to the carrier, delivery timelines are the carrier's responsibility.

8.5 Lost or Damaged Shipments. If your package is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date at josh@3bladesmakerlab.com. We will work with the carrier to file a claim and, at our discretion, replace the item or issue a refund.

9. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

9.1 Custom & Personalized Products. Because our products are custom-made and personalized to your specifications, all sales of custom and personalized items are final. We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for custom orders unless the product arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from the approved proof.

9.2 Pre-Made Design Products. Products featuring pre-made (non-custom) designs may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unused, undamaged, and in original packaging. Contact us to initiate a return. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5-10 business days of receiving the returned item.

9.3 Defective Products. If you receive a product that is defective or materially different from the approved proof, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the issue. We will, at our discretion, replace the item at no charge or issue a full refund including original shipping costs.

9.4 Cancellations. Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement if production has not yet begun. Once production has started (including material cutting, engraving, or 3D printing), cancellations are not accepted. Contact josh@3bladesmakerlab.com immediately if you need to cancel.

9.5 Backordered Items. Orders for backordered items may be cancelled at any time before the item ships for a full refund.

10. Product Disclaimers

10.1 Natural Materials. Our products use natural materials including slate, hardwood (cherry, maple, walnut), and optical crystal. Natural materials exhibit inherent variations in color, grain, texture, and pattern. These variations are not defects - they are characteristics that make each piece unique. Product photographs on our Site are representative and your item may vary slightly in appearance.

10.2 Laser Engraving. Laser engraving results may vary based on material characteristics. Depth, contrast, and detail of engraving can differ between individual pieces due to natural material variation. We strive for consistent quality but cannot guarantee identical results across every unit.

10.3 Food-Contact Products. Cutting boards are made from food-grade hardwood and finished with food-grade mineral oil. Laser engraving on cutting boards is decorative. We recommend using the non-engraved side for food preparation and the engraved side for serving and display. Hand wash only - do not submerge or place in dishwasher.

10.4 Tumblers. Engraved tumblers feature permanent laser engraving through the powder coating. Hand wash recommended to preserve the finish. Do not microwave. Not dishwasher safe.

10.5 Slate Coasters. Natural slate may shed minor particles initially. Wipe with a damp cloth before first use. Felt protective feet are pre-applied. Not dishwasher safe.

10.6 3D Photo Crystals. K9 optical crystal is glass and can break if dropped. Handle with care. The internal laser engraving is permanent and will not fade, scratch, or wear over time. Keep out of direct prolonged sunlight to avoid discoloration of the crystal over extended periods.

10.7 3D Printed Products. 3D printed products are made from PLA filament. PLA is not heat-resistant and should not be exposed to temperatures above 140°F (60°C). Not food safe unless specifically stated. 3D printed items may show visible layer lines, which are inherent to the manufacturing process.

11. Right to Refuse Service

3 Blades Maker Lab reserves the right to refuse service, decline any order, cancel any rendering, or refuse to engrave or produce any product at its sole discretion, for any reason, including but not limited to:

Content that violates Section 4 (Prohibited Content);
Suspected fraud or abuse;
Intellectual property concerns;
Quality concerns that would result in a substandard product;
Orders that exceed our production capacity; or
Any other reason we deem appropriate.

If we refuse an order before production, you will receive a full refund.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 3 Blades Maker Lab LLC, its owner, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Site, our products, our customization tools, or these Terms.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid to 3 Blades Maker Lab for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

The customization tools, AI-generated previews, and 3D renderings are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 3 Blades Maker Lab LLC, its owner, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site or our services; (b) your Customer Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property rights; or (e) any dispute between you and a third party related to products purchased from us.

14. Privacy & Data

14.1 Information Collected. When you use our Site and services, we may collect: your name, email address, shipping address, phone number, and payment information (processed by Shopify); photographs and design files you upload; your IP address and browser information; and email verification data used in our customization tools.

14.2 How We Use Your Information. We use your information to: process and fulfill orders; send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and proof approvals; provide customer support; prevent fraud and abuse of our tools; improve our products and services; and comply with legal obligations.

14.3 Third-Party Services. We use the following third-party services that may process your data: Shopify (e-commerce platform and payment processing); FedEx and USPS (shipping and delivery); Meshy AI (3D model generation for crystal products); Cloudflare (website security and worker hosting); Google (reCAPTCHA, analytics, email services). Each third party operates under its own privacy policy.

14.4 Data Retention. Uploaded photographs and render data from the crystal customizer are retained for up to 7 days. Order and customer data are retained as required for business operations, tax compliance, and legal obligations.

14.5 Data Security. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14.6 Your Rights. To request deletion of your personal data, correction of your information, or to ask questions about our data practices, contact us at josh@3bladesmakerlab.com.

15. Website Use

15.1 Acceptable Use. You agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems; interfere with or disrupt the Site or servers; use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Site without permission; circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls; or impersonate any person or entity.

15.2 Account Security. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

16.1 Governing Law. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16.2 Dispute Resolution. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our Site or services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered in Collin County, Texas, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Each party shall bear its own costs and attorneys' fees.

16.3 Class Action Waiver. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

16.4 Small Claims. Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in Collin County, Texas, for disputes within the court's jurisdictional limits.

17. Miscellaneous

17.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with any order confirmations and approved proofs, constitute the entire agreement between you and 3 Blades Maker Lab regarding the subject matter herein.

17.2 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17.3 Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

17.4 Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

17.5 Force Majeure. 3 Blades Maker Lab shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, power outages, acts of government, or carrier delays.
